Butterflies

Our Butterfly room is our area for children aged two, three and four years and above.

In this area, the children are getting ready to move up to school with more adult led structured activities to enhance their independence. Their is regular access to our outside classroom throughout the day. The children are provided with a wide range of activities and are able to access all the resources within the environment independently. All activities are organised to suit the individual developmental needs of each child and are designed to support the learning environment. Activities include reading, music, dance, painting, colouring, sand & water play, construction and role-play.

The ratio for the two-year-old children is one adult practitioner to five children who are aged two. The ratio for 3 and 4 year olds is one adult practitioner to eight children who are aged three and above.

Our outside area

At Busy Kids we have our very own outdoor garden which we operate using a free flow system. This is equipped with a selection of toys and resources ranging from scooters and bikes to wooden blocks, water trays, tuff trays, a construction area and a mud kitchen that the children are able to use as they wish too.

We have a wonderful woodland area where children can explore and play.

The children have access to the school field and the other school grounds.

At Busy Kids, we try to take the children to visit the local area as much as we can, including visits to the church and park in the village.
